Euan Lindsay

Euan Lindsay is the author of the content of the Roman Scotland website. He takes a pride in getting the facts right and is passionate about real Scottish history, not fashionable myth or fable.

Euan

Euan specialises in the Roman period and is well travelled with experience of most Roman sites in Scotland. Even for those knowledgeable about Roman Scotland, the services of a tour guide familiar with the sites is a real must.

Euan is also familiar with Scottish battlefields and military architecture and is a regular contributor to the very popular Scotwars website: www.scotwars.com.

Euan is a qualified architect, and has also served in the British Army as an armourer and regularly takes part in 17th C Civil War battle re-enactment in the Sealed Knot Society. All this has given Euan a breadth of practical experience and an eye for detail and the ability to make practical analysis of historical evidence, both written and built.

Euan acts as a tour guide of “Roman Scotland” as well as the battlefields, castles and forts of Scotland and the related sites in the north of England.

He is resident in central Scotland and speaks with a clear and authentic Scots accent.

Euan is not a holiday and accommodation booking agent, but is available to hire as an authoritative tour guide by individuals, groups and tour operators with an interest in Scots military history and a wish to visit it on the ground.
