Focus on Hadrian's Wall

The Line of Light project - lighting 500 gas fired beacons set at 250 metre intervals along the length of Hadrian's Wall - took place on Saturday 13th March as part of British Tourism week. Definitely a spectacular event as the footage on the BBC articles shows. This hints at the effect Hadrian's Wall as a visible barrier, manned and lit at the walls installations would have had in its day.

This follows fairly hard on recent research on a possible timber wall as temporary expedient during construction of the stone wall, interesting and radical stuff indeed.
